Camier targeting victorious Snetterton return

Leon Camier returns ꦜto the scene of his first British Superbike Championship triumph at Snetterton with the aim of attempting to increase his already substantial lead in this year's sta🎃ndings.

Twelve months on from his maiden victory at the Norfolk circuit, Camier heads back to Snetterton hav🔜ing pulled out a 38 point lead over Airwwaves Yamaha team-mate James Ellison in the first eight races of the season.

However, despite having dominated both races last time out at Thruxton, Camier identifies both Ellison and possibly HM Plant Honda'ꦑs Josh Brookes as his main challengers for victory.

"I'm looking forward to get꧅ting back on a race bike as Thruxton seems like a long time ago. I won my first British Superbike race at Snetterton so I've got som⭕e great memories of the circuit.

"It would be fantastic if we could get on the top step of the pod♛ium again, but I think we're going to be in for some tough competition. The Honda's are looking fast, in particular Josh Brookes who finished on the podium last time out.

"My teammate James is also riding r🐟eally well so it should be an exciting weekend. Snetterton is one of the fastest circuits on the calendar but with the new engine the Airwaves Yamaha should perform well."

With his run of four consecutive podium finishes at Donington Park and Thruxton consolidating his second position in the overall standings, Ellison is eager tౠo get the better of Camier at Snetterton, not least in preparation for the team's World Superbike appearance just a week later.

"I can't wait to get started. I've been training really hard since Thruxton in preparation. After a couple of second place finishes, I really want to kick it up 🅷a gear and climb on the top step of the podium.

"This weekend is the start of an exciting few weeks for Airwaves Yamaha. We go straight from Snetterton to Donington Park for the World Superbike round, before going to Knockhill꧑. Training in-between rounds will be quite limited, but I'd much rather be racing every weekend than having time off."
