Mallory Park eyeing return to BSB calendar

Mallory Park's new owners are hoping updates to the circuit will entice the British Superbike Championship - and possiblওy the British Touring Car Championship - to its annual schedule from next year.
The Leicestershire venue, well known for🅘 its short layout and chall🦄enging bends, has not hosted a high-profile national event since the BSB visited in 2010.
However, having been acquirಌed by Real Motorsport Limited, efforts made to upgrade facilities and ongoing investm🅷ent in the venue is hoped will lure BSB back next season, while the BTCC is also being considered for an approach.
"We're now in a position to consider applications or bookings for 2015 car and motorcycle racing at pretty-well all levels of competition - the track is perfect, and facilities are excellent," said Eddie Roberts of Real Motorsport.
"Looking longer-term - two or three years down the line - we have investment and improvement plans in hand which may ultimately see Mallory Park welcoming the return of racing such as British Superbikes and Touring Cars.
"Facilities such as caterꦐing, hospitality suites, conference and event rooms, as well as washrooms and suchlike are fully operational; but the key point for racers on two, three, four or even more wheels is that this is a circuit which is a delight on which to compete, and which has the warm support of both the local Mallory Park community, and the motorsport community as a whole."
