The BSB rookie tipped off for the second time of his debut race weekend in the series during morning warm-up in soaking wet conditions and sustained a fracture in the ulna bone in 🌠his left wrist which meant he couldn’t contest race two.
Having finished in 18th place on his BSB maiden bow in the opening race of 2018, Mackenzie conce🍸des it was a stiff learning curve and is eager to progress through his first year in the Superbike class and is already t⛄argeting a comeback from his wrist injury at the second round at Brands Hatch Indy.
“We had some good speed in the wet particularly, which isܫ a definite positive first time out,” Mackenzie said. “I’m still learning, after all it’s only my fifth or sixth day on a Superbike but maybe I need to calm down a bit.
“Ultimately I crashed whilst pushing to find the limits, I think I’d be more annoyed if I crashed out of 30th to be honest. My wrist should be alright by Br𒊎ands so fingers crossed for that and some more dry track time.”
