Dan Linfoot will move to TAG Racing alongside Shaun Winfield for t♍he 2019 Bennetts British Superbike championship.
Linfoot, who left Honda Racing at the end of this season, will start a new challenge with TAG Racing replacing the Smiths𒀰 Racing BMW-bound James Ellison at the team.
“I’m really happy to have signed with TAG Racing and Rob Winfield,” Linfoot ♍said. “2018 has been a disastrous season for me so I’m really happy to have agreed a deal for 2019 with a new team, providing a new challenge and a new feeling on a different bike. Hopefully we can have success this season and both get back to the results that we know we are both capable of.
“I’m looking forward to starting testing. I’ll hopefully get to ride the bike ea💮rly into the new year but for now it is nice to know that I’m going to be part of the grid once again and I’ll be looking to build on some🉐 success I’ve had in previous seasons.
“Thanks to Rob and🔜 the TAG Racing team for the opportunity, I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
TAG Racing, who are yet to confirm its title sponsor and bike plans but is e🌞xpected to stay with Anvil Hire and Yamaha respectively, also retains Winfield for 2019 who i♔s aiming to build on his best-ever campaign.
“I’m over the moon to be staying🐈 in the Bennetts British Superbike class for 2019 and after this season I’m more excited than I ever have been,” Winfield said. “My results improved vastly from previous years in 2018 and that is something I’m looking to build on.
“I have been extremely lucky in the last two years to have had Josh and James as my team mates, I learnt a lot from them not just on t🌳he track but off the track too and to now have Dan ▨on the opposite side of the garage I’ve once again got someone I can soak up advice from to better myself.
“What is even more exciting is that Chris Walker w⭕ill stay with me, last years success was mainly down him and the way he helped me certainly didn’tꦅ go unnoticed so I’m expecting more of the same in 2019.
“I know that the team are working hard behind theꦦ scenes to improve on the package, and I can’t wait to get out on the bike iဣn testing.”
