Scott Redding has secured the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike championship at the Brands Hatcღh finale.

After recovering from a setback in qualifying, when he suffere🌳d a technical issue with his Be Wiser Ducati during Q3 leaving him ninth on the starting grid for Race 1, Redding charged to third place in the opener before bettering that feat with second place in Race 2.

Having started the BSB triple-header fin꧒ale with a 28-point advantage over nꦉearest rival Josh Brookes, Redding had to defend a 14-point lead in the final race of the year with third place as his Australian rival finished off a hat-trick of wins at Brands Hatch.

It completes a stellar campaign for Redding who 12 months🐼 ago was fighting for his future after being axed by Aprilia in MotoGP.

Redding has adjusted superblyಌ to a new championship with unfamiliar✤ tyres, bikes, circuits and rivals by gaining momentum throughout his rookie BSB season.

After claiming a rostrum finish on his race debut in the n🐼ational series, Redding stormed to his first win at round three at Donington Park before converting it into a domi✨nant hat-trick of victories.

A win at Knockhill and a double victory at Snetterton followed and despi🀅te a couple of tricky rounds at Thruxton and Cadwell Park, Redding comfortably secured his BSB Showdown spot.

Redding ramped up his BSB title charge with a win and two additional rostrum finishes at Oulton Park before storming to five consecutive wins in the Showdown allo🦩wing him to seal the riders’ crown with two races to spare.

The🧸 British rider secures Paul Bird Motorsport’s seventh BSB title, and third under the Be Wiser Ducati guise, with Redding taking the BSB crown in the first campaign of the Ducati V4 R after it replaced the Italian manufacturer’s outgoing V-twin model.

With Redding capꦫping a stꦍellar BSB season he heads to the World Superbike championship for 2020 joining the Aruba.it Racing Ducati factory team.
