Vickers claims best ever BSB finish with double fourth place at Thruxton

RAF Regular & Reserve Kawasaki rider Ryan Vickers put 🃏together an impressive Thruxton wꦏeekend to claim his best ever British Superbike results.

A fourth place in both race one and race th𝔉ree are the Brit’s best results si♛nce joining the top class in 2019.

The weekend could have been even better 🌸for Vickers who crashed out of a podium place in race two, however, the consistency shown around Thruxton is something he will be hoping to build on going forward.

Vickers’ most impressive ⛦race came in the third and final event of the weekend, as he charged through the mid-field pack and into third before former Moto3 world champion Danny Kent ultimately took that position.

Vi𝔉ckers is only 14 points off the final showdown spot held by fellow Kawasaki rider Lee Jackson.

"It’s been an amazing weekend and the team worked seriously hard both before and du﷽ring the meeting so it’s great to take my best ever BSB finishes," added Vickers.

"The whole team have belief in me and trust my input and we’re making big steps which I always felt we could andꦯ 𝔉would.

"I’ve had the capab🐟ility from the first year but Rome wasn’t built in a day! I’ve never stopped learning since I jumped on the Superbike and what’s pleasing about the weekend was that I was fast in all conditions.

"Of course, it would have been great to have taken a podium but there are so many positives to take awa꧑y and we know we can still improve further so roll on the next round."
