Having missed the opening round of the season at Brands Hatch, Team 48 Motorspo💖rt has confirmed that it will also sit out the second round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship at Rockingham this weekend.

The first year team plans to run a brace of Alfa Romeo 156s this season for Darelle Wilson and Matthew Gore but is not yet in a position to hit the track and will instead focus on hitting the track for the first time for 🧔the third round of the season at Donington Park next month.

"Whilst we are pleased on the progress made since the opening race weekend, we are mindful of the fact that there are still issues that need fine tuning before we take to the 🐽track," tea𓆉m principal Luther Blissett said. "Throughout my career as a professional footballer, the requirement for attention to detail remained of paramount importance.

"It's customary that, without taking care of the small things in life, the big things will never happen. Preparation is key and applies to any sport, particul🧸arly whe🍬n it comes to a competition like the BTCC."

Team 48 aims to promote multi-racial particip𓂃ation in motorsport through its entry into the BTCC, with the team name and car numbers - 19 and 48 - reflecting the year when the SS Windrush carried a group of Caribbean migrants to the UK.
