BTCC Brands Hatch GP: Cammish leads Honda 1-2 for maiden BTCC win
Honda driver Dan Cammish has claimed his first ever British Touring Car 🌠Championship race victory after leadꦛing home a Halfords Yuasa Racing 1-2 ahead of Matt Neal at Brands Hatch.
The Honda Civic Type-R driver started the opening race of the final weekend of the season from second on the grid, but powered ahead of pole-sitter Brett Smith into a lead hꦓe would never relinquish right at the end of the opening lap.

While Cammish eventually crossed the line 0.368s ahead of Neal to become the BTCC's 17th 💦different winner of the 2018 season, the Honda driver's start will be investigated following the race.
Cammish appeared to creep forward slightly befo♍re the red-light went out, but wasn't penalised during the race.
Having lost the lead at the end ജof the opening lap, WIX Racing's Smith retained his composure to take a maiden podium finish in th🔜ird, closely followed by his Eurotech team mate Jack Goff in fourth.
Power Maxed T𓄧AG Racing's Senna Proctor was the first to breaꦉk the Honda stranglehold in fifth, ahead of BTC Norlin Racing's Dan Lloyd in sixth.
Laser Tools Racing's Aiden M🗹offat continued to display his rich vein of form with another solid drive to seventh position as Andrew Jordan, Tom Chi🦩lton and James Cole completed the remainder of the top-ten in eighth, ninth and tenth.
In terms of the title outlook, Colin Tur👍kington extended his advantage to 36-points ahead of Tom Ingram after the Team BMW driver safely secured an extra four-points with a twelfth place finish.
Turkington did endure one heart stopping moment after the champion elect briefly made contact with the 𒅌Motorbase Performance of Chilton mid-way through the race.
Ingram remains in championship contention after a 14th place finish but ne💝eds to heavily outscore Turkington during the second race to keep his title hopes alive.
