Formula 1 ventures to the Olympi🐓c city of Sochi this weekend for the fifth world championship running of the Russian Grand Prix with the title race nearing its concꦆlusion.

Victory in Singapore saw Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes foꦏrge a 40-point points l🐽ead over Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel at the top of the drivers' championship with six rounds to go this year, with the Briton in a fine run of form that has seen him win four of the last five races.

Vettel and Ferrari will be eager to bounce back in Russia this weekend, but history is not on the team's side: Mercedes has won every running of the F1 race in Sochi, its most recent win coming courtesy of 🌼Valtteri Bottas in 2017.

When is the Russian Grand Prix?

The 2018 Russian Grand Pr𝕴ix takes place on Sunday 30 September. Cars will hiꦚt the track for the first time during FP1 and FP2 on Friday, before final practice and qualifying continues on Saturday.
