Valtteri Bottas disqualified from qualifying at F1 British Grand Prix

Valtteri Bottas has been disqualified from qualifying for the F1 British Grand Prix after Alfa Romeo failed to provide a one-litre fuel sample at the end of the session.

Bottas' car came to a halt at the end of Q1, meaning he was unable to compete i🃏n the remainder of qualifying.

The Finn had already done enough to make Q2, with a late lap put❀ting him u﷽p to 11th in the timesheets.

Bottas was set to start Sunday's race from 15th on the grid untꦰil the stewards decided to t♛hrow him out of qualifying.

After qualifying, the FIA confirmed Alfa Romeo coul♏dn't provide a 1.0-litre sample of fuel - the sample tak🍨en from Bottas' car was 0.090 litres.

🌌He will start from the back o🎃f the grid for Sunday's race.

Tꦓhe stewards noted: "The car was unable to provide the required fuel sample. There were no mitigating circumstances. The stewards have received a request from Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake to allow Car 77 to start the race. The stewards therefore grant permissio🦂n for Car 77, Valtteri Bottas to start the race."
