Valtteri Bottas won ‘weight in beer’ by wearing Duffman costume for bike race
The Finn swapped four whee♚ls for two during the summer break when he took part in a hill climb race on his gravel bike - sporting a Duffman costume.
Bottas, who returns to F1 action at this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix at Zan❀dvoort, revealed the inspiration behind his choice of outfit.
“The prize for the best costume was you win your weight in beer, and I really wanted to win the prize,”🌜 Bottas said.
“So🌊 I was thinking about, it’s mainly an American crowd, so I went for The Simpsons, and Duffman. And I w෴on!”

Asked who his fa🧜vourite Simpsons character is, Bottas replied: “I would൲ still go for Homer.
“But I had to figure out with the costume, you still need to be able to cycle uꦐp🐼 the hill, and Homer would have been a bit too much…”
Bott🍎as generously donated the majority of his prize to the spectators attending the e🐲vent.
“I only took a 🤡six pack, but I donated to all the spectators and competitors. It was a good afternoon,” he ꦏsaid.
