How Charles Leclerc thought he was on for podium after mistaking Sergio Perez for Max Verstappen

Charles Leclerc has revealed he thought he was on course to finish on the podium at the Japanese Grand Prix after mistaking Sergio Perez’s slow-moving Red Bull for Max Verstappen.

Leclerc ultimately finished fourth at Suzuka as Ferrari ♍didn’t have the p💦ace to match either Red Bull or McLaren.

Verstappen secured his 13th victory of F1 2023, while🎃 teammate Perez endured a difficult afternoon.
