Kevin Magnussen says he is aiming 🐬to be back in his car for this week's Italian Grand Prix after escapi🎶ng serious injury in a high-speed accident at Eau Rouge during the Belgian Grand Prix.

The Dane was running ninth in the early s🅺tages of the Spa-Francorchamps race when he lost control of his Renault RS16 at the top of Eau Rouge before impacting the barrier heavily.

Despite the severity of the shunt, Magnussen was able to extricate himself from the car, though would be taken to hospital for a precautionary check. Diagnosed with an ankle injury, Magnussen was dischargꦍed before tweeting that he expects to be in the car for Monza practice on Friday.

Magnussen will need to undergo a medical check before being given the all clear to compete at Monza. If Magnussen is unable to𒁃 race Renault faces a headache in terms of replacing him having lost its reserve driver to Manor Racing.
