Team Sauber-Petronas have been forced to abandon their third day of testing today [Wednesday], at the Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona, after Felipe Massa crashed heavily th♑is m൲orning.

According to early reports the Brazilian is ok, however he was taken꧋ to hospital for a check-up.

A team spokesperson, told mahbx.com Brazil / formula news: "All that we can say at the moment is that Felip🅠e went off the track in turn 1 at the beginning of his fourth lap in the morning.

"He was able to leave the car by himselꦫf, but🍸 was taken to hospital for general checks and scans."

Mas🍸sa has re-joined Sauber this year, after testing for Ferrari in 2003. Ironically, although he was considered fast during his F1 debut year in 2002, he was also criticized for being rather accident-prone. At the moment though, it must be stressed, the cause of this latest crash is unknown.
