Nico Hulkenberg has slammed Romain Grosjean for causing a first-lap collision at the Spanish Grand Prix, adding t꧒he Haa♔s Formula 1 driver needs to “do some work on himself”. 

Grosjean got loose on the exit of Turn 3 after appearing to be unsettled in the dirty air of teammate Kevin Magnussen wh🙈en the Dane suffered a brief slide, causing Grosjean to run wide and suffer a similar spin. 

In his attempts to correct his error, the Frenchman ended up pirouetting back across the circuit, collecting and wiping out both Hulkenberg and Gasly. Grosjean 𒉰was slapped with a three-place grid penalty for incident, which he will serve at the Monaco Grand Prix. 

Speaking after the race to BBC Radio 5 Li🗹ve, 𒀰Hulkenberg criticised Grosjean’s driving on the opening lap. 

“He didn’t look great ꦑin that scenario,” Hulkenberg said. “Generally ♌he likes spinning, but on the first lap is not a good time to do it with everyone there. 

“He has to look at it and do some work on himself. He's doing the ballet dancer and wiܫpes two out so very frustrating.

“I tried to avoid on the right but he was coming at ꩲme with too much speed and took the whole re𒊎ar left corner off and that was the end of that.”

Gasly said there was nothing he could have done to avoid the scenar🍒io, adding he was unsighted as he drove through the smoke trail left by Grosjean’s spin. 

“I couldn’t see much,” Gasly explained. “Just before I saw there was nowher▨e to go and I had to relieve  the steering. The impact was pretty big. I was mainly disappoin🅺ted that I wasn’t able to do something.

“I didn’t expect him to come back. He spun and th﷽en he could have done something different maybe. It looks like he stayed on the throttle when he maybe he could have braked. It could have ended up differently.”
