Renault submit protest on Grosjean’s Haas to FIA

Renault has submitted an official protest to🌳 the FIA over Romain Grosjean’s Haas car with both teams set to have a hearing at Monza following the Italian Grand Prix.

The French manufacturer 🔥has requested clarification “on the legality of the Haas F1 Team VF-18” with the team refusing to make a further comment on the situation until the stewards hearinꦏg which will take place at 18:30 local time at Monza.

FIA race director Charlie Whiting has confirmed the protest focuses on 💎a floor piece on the Haas car. The US team introduced floor updates for the Italian race having debuted them during practice in Belgium last week.

Representatives from both Renault and Haas will be involved in the heari💎ng with the FIA stewards.

Grosjean finished as best of the rest behind the top three teams in sixth place in the Italian Grand Prix 🧸with Carlos Sainz Jr securing ꦗpoints for Renault in ninth place.

The results see Haas move level on points with the French squad in the Formula 1 world const🃏ructors’ championship with Haas placed aheꩲad on countback.
