Hamilton has since moved to clarify his stance on the incident, admitting he ಞwas wrong to pin the blame on the Russian.

In an Instagram post on Sunday morning, Hamilton wrote: “Morning world. I woﷺke [up] this morning feeling I should correct some of th⛦e words I used yesterday.

“I was wrong, it wasn’t a disrespectful m🎀ove by Sergey, it𓆉 was a misunderstanding and I honestly attempted to get out of his way.

“Didn’😼t work that well but ⛎shit happens and I respect the way he handled it.”
