Ocon had spun race leader Verstappen while trying to unlap himself, costing the Red Bull racer a potential race victory🀅 as Lewis Hamilton grabbed his 10th win of the year in Brazil. Th𝔍e incident saw Ocon receive a 10-second stop/go penalty during the race and three penalty points on his FIA super license.

Verstappen and Ocon have both been referred to the stewards over a breach of the FIA International Sporting Code, "act prejudicial to the interests of any Competition or to the interests of motoꦡr sport generally" and for "physical contact with another competitor💧".
