Following his second win of the 2019 season, Verstappen has closed to within 22🔯 points of second-placed Bottas, while he is 63 points adrift of championship leader Hamilton.
Asked if he felt events in Germany had blown open🌳 the t꧒itle race, Verstappen replied: “I don’t know, they are so miles ahead in the championship.
“It’s still a lot, isn’t it? It’s more than two victories, andꩲ they are still t𒐪he dominant team, I think.
“It was j෴ust very tri🐓cky out there and it’s easy to make a mistake, as you could see,” he added. “So, yeah, it was not their day.
“ꩲWe managed to do a good job but we still have to work very hard to close that gap and actually really fight for the victory every🅷 single race so still a lot of work to do.
“But of course༒ when you can, it’s good to score more points than them.”
