Max Verstappen has hit back at 2016 Formula 1 world champion Nico R๊osberg’s criticism of his performance at the Belgian Grand Prix♚.

In his post-race video blog uploaded to YouTube, Rosberg saidꦫ that Verstappen had🎃 reverted to his “old self” with a “very aggressive” approach to the Spa race as he collided with Kimi Raikkonen at Turn 1, before car damage sent him crashing out at Eau Rouge.

But speaking a🍸head of this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Verstappen responded to Rosberg’s assessment by comparingꦚ him to former F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve, who is well-known for his outspoken views.

“I don't 🅷really care what he says in his podcast,” said Verstappen when made aware of Rosberg’s comments.

“I think he's becoming the new Jacques Villeneuve - who has actually bec𝓰ome less bad now. Nico is the new one. I guess he just want to attract viewers/listeners.”

Rosberg called Verstappen a “narcissi✨st” earlier this season, something the Dutchman felt was a “bit extreme”. Verstappen added he feels Rosberg🌟 lacks credibility as a pundit and did so during his career as a driver.

“He called me a narcissist early 𝔍this year, I found that a bit extreme,” he said. “Nico has never been credible, even as a driver. It's his problem. He has no appeal and can't get a job.

“I don't𓃲 kn꧟ow what he wants, more viewers? Money? He should have kept driving to earn a lot more!”
