While Albon was able to walk away from the shunt unharmed, his car was left with sign🐽ificant damage to the rear and front-right sections that will require repairing overnight.
“I'll ha🅷ve a look at it because it did go really quick, I wasn't expecting it to go like that,” Albon said of the crash after the s💟ession.
“Just a bit of a careless mistake, I usedဣ a bit too much track. These things go quickly. I did snap it, itﷺ went really quick.
“We missed a goo𝓰d chunk of long-running data as well, so it won't be easy. I think we'll have to change the run plan for tomorrow in FP3, and then try and find a good solution for qualifying.”
Albon had finished fourth-fastest in opening practice on Friday prior to finishing at the foot of the timesheets in FP2, giving him a glimmer of confidenc⛄e in the Red Bull RB15 car as 🃏the team chases a third straight win in Mexico.
“I think the car's good. I thinkꦛ it shows what the car was like the last two years,” Albon said.
“Just got to rebuild the rhythm a little bit for tomo꧟rrow and then fight for the qualifying.”
