FEATURE: Could COVID-19 force F1 into a 2020-2021 super season?
Rather than trying to cram in 17-18 races between August and Christmas, F1 could merge its two campaigns t▨ogether to create a super season - much like Formula E adopts.
This🎉 door has been potentially opened after F1 teams agreed 💞to delay the 2021 technical regulation overhaul by a year until 2022, meaning the chassis used this year will be carried over into the next campaign.
Not only could this potentially alleviate some of the financial impact on teams but it would undoubtedly remove strain that naturally comes with the demanding workloads fo♌r the travelling F1 personnel.
Discussions will continue between F1 chiefs and the teamsꩵ in the coming days and weeks on how best to combat the issue of coronavirus and save the 2020 season.
Could this be a solution to the problem?
