McLaren F1 driver Norris self-isolating in Dubai after positive COVID-19 test

McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando N𝓀orris is currently observing a period of self-isolation in Dubai after testing positive for COVID-19.

The Briton, who is currently on holiday in Dubai ahead of a planned training camp, returned a positive result after taking a coronavirus test on Monday after recognising he had lost𒀰 his sense of taste and smell.

In line with lo🅷cal regulations, Norဣris is now self-isolating in his hotel for 14 days.

In a post on soci⛦al media, Norris confirmed that he has no other symptoms of the virus🍸.

“Yesterday I lost my sense of taste and smell so iওmmediately self-isolated and took a test,” he said.

“It’s come back as positive, so I’ve told everyone that I’ve been in contact with and will be self isolating for🍃 the next 14 days.

“I feel alright and have no other symptoms but I just wanted to let you all kn♓ow.”

In a team statement released on Tuesday, McLaren added: “McLaren can confirm that Lando Norris t🍰ested positive for covid-19 yesterday in Dubai, where🍷 he is currently on holiday ahead of a planned training camp.

“After recognising a loss of taste and smell, he was ꦫtested immediately and informed the team. In line with local regulations, he is now self-isolating at his hotel for 14 days. He is currently feeling well and reports no other symptoms.”

Norris is the ꧋fourth F1 driver to have contracted COVID-19 and made it public, with Racing Point duo Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll, and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton also testing positive across the course of the 2020 F1 season.
