Verstappen’s race at Silverstone ended on the opening lap after he tangled w📖ith F1 title rival Hamilton into🐎 Copse corner.

Hamilton attempted to go up the inside of the Dutchman but tag𒐪ged his rear wheels, sending him into the barrier.

Th🎐e crash at Copse was recorded at 51G and the Red Bull driver was s✃ent to hospital for precautionary checks.

Hamilton was handed a 10-secꦫond penalty for his involvement in the incidꦛent as well as two penalty points on his license.

The penalty didn’t halt H༒amilton’s charge as he overtook Charles Leclerc with three laps to go into the same ဣcorner he had the contact with Verstappen to claim his fourth win of 2021 and first since the Spanish Grand Prix in May.

With Verst♔appen not at the track to conduct media activities, he took to 🔯Instagram to share his opinion on what happened at Silverstone.

His post read: “First of all: I am glad I’m ok. It was quite an impact at 51G but feeling ꦜbetter. Obviously very disappointed with being taken out like this. The penalty given does not help us in any way and doesn’t do justice to the dangerous move Lewis made on track.

“Watchin♔g the celebrations after🐈 the race while still in hospital is disrespectful and unsportsmanlike behaviour but we move on.”
