Pierre Gasly predicts a ‘season full of surprises’ in F1 2022

F1 has introduced a major shake-up to the technical regulations this year in a bid to br♏ing the field closer together and improve the on-track spectacle with a car that has been designed to race more easily.
Gasly, who claimed his first F1 🏅victory at the 2020 Italian G꧃rand Prix, is excited to head into the unknown with the prospect of huge unpredictability.
“I think we will have to tackle it with an open mind, being ready for any eventuality,” Gasly said at the launch of Alph🐲aTauri’s 2022 car on Monday.
“It's💫 a fresh start for all the teams, starting pretty much from zero as we are really𒀰 looking at a clean sheet of paper scenario.
“It will be a big challenge for the teams to work out how to build the b♓est car possible to comply with the new regulations. I hope that it works really well for us.
“I have no doubts about our team's abilities and, as of now, they are qu🥃ite pleased with the work theꦉy have done.
“Like everyone, they've been working on it for many months now, but it's difficult to have an idea of what we can expect until the car goes out on track in Barceꦡlona for the first time.
“Tꦬhen we will get an idea of how the car behaves and how we look compared to the others. I'm sur𝕴e this season will be full of surprises.”

The Frenchman enjoyed a standout season in 2021 as he scored 110 points - including third place in♔ Baku - on his way to helping AlphaTauri clinch sixth place in the constructors’ cham꧙pionship.
Gasly’s consistency and superb performances over the past two years have seen him linked with a return to Red Bull b𝓀ut he has so far been overlooked and Sergio Perez will continue to partner reigning world champion Max Verstappen for at least one more season.
With Gasly’s current deal due to expire at the end of the year, the upcoming campaign could be huge in determining his next career move and whether it lies w📖ith Red Bull, or elsewhere.
“My approach will be the same as the﷽ on💃e I adopted last year,” he added.
“I will be trying to build on the run I had of very good results and to co💦ntinue to be on top of my game with the car I have.
“I really hope that this is a year when I can fight at the very front, to finish regularly in the top five and even higher ꧃if the car is good enough for that.
“We must be prepared to deal with whatever situations arise. So, mentally I've prepared myself to deal with any possible scenario and personally, I will be pushing the team to always do its♎ best.
“Last year we came very close to fifth ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚplace in the constructors' and it would be super to achieve that this year. It's too early to say if that will be possible but I will always give it my best shot and get the most out of our car.”
