Alex Albon will remain with Williams for a fourth 🔯consecutive F1 campaign in 20♛25.

Albon’s future with Williams has always looked guaranteed despite loose reports linking him with a return to Red Bull. The Thai dr🐎iver has made the Grove team his own, dismantling teammates Nicolas Latifi and Logan Sa🎐rgeant.

The mid-season arrival of Franco⛎ Colapinto put the spotlight on Albon in 2024, ahead of his toughest task since racing alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull, with Carlos Sainz mꦜaking the move to Williams from Ferrari.

After finishing third in Formula 2 in 2018, behind George Russell andꦑ Lando Norris, Albon was handed a Toro Rosso drive for 2019.

After just 12 races with the Italian outf🌠it, Albon was drafted into Red Bull in place of Pierre Gasly, whose form was poor alongside Verstappen. Albon did enough to keep the Red Bull drive for 2020, however, he was whitewashed by the Dutchman in qualifying during the COVID-hit season.

Like Gasly, Albon considerably struggled with the peaky nature of the Red Bull car and was dropped for 2021 as they favoured an experienced op🅺tion in the form of Sergio Perez. A year on the sidelines allowed Albon to regroup before returning to F1 in 2022 in place of Russell at Williams.

Albon has steadily rebuilt his career at Williams, becoming the team’s clear leader. He helped guide the team to seventh in the 2023 F1 Constructors’ Championship - their high🎃est finish since 2017.

With Sainz making the move to Williams for 2025, Albon will need to step up his game to e🎀nsure🤡 he remains part of James Vowles’ plans for the years to come.
