Sebastian Vettel remains Ferrari’s number one priority according to team principal Mattia Binotto, but with rumours around his contra🍷ct talks circling🔜 there remains a chance the Scuderia could shake-up its driver line-up for 2021.

Since securing Charles Leclerc with a new long-term deal, keeping him at Ferrari until at least the end of 2024, all eyes have been on the other spot at the team with Vettel’s current con💛tract expiring at the ⛦end of this season.

After joining Ferrari in 2015, Vettel has sꦆpearheaded the Italian manufacturer’s Formula 1 world title charge having come close as runner-up to Lewis Hamilton in both 2017 and 2018. But foll🌸owing a poor 2019 season when he was outperformed by Leclerc, while also coming to blows with the Monegasque driver on occasions, the pressure has increased on the four-time F1 world champion and his place at Ferrari.

Vettel had been ai🔯ming to begin contract talks after the opening few F1 races b✤ut with the start of the 2020 season delayed he concedes he could decide his future before racing again this year.

While they remain engaged in contact negotiations, Ferrari also has a number of alternatives it coul🐼d turn to if it looks for a fresh start. From experienced hand Daniel Ricciardo, emerging force Carlos Sainz or an array ofꦕ young talents, the options aren’t in short supply for Ferrari.
