Formula 2 cancels Sunday race following Anthoine Hubert's death

Formula 2 has confirmed it will not race on Sunday at Spa out of respect following the death of Anthoine♚ Hubert.

BWT Arden driver Hubert was kill🍎ed following an acc🌜ident on the second lap of Saturday's Feature Race that saw his car hit the wall at Raidillon before being struck by Juan Manuel Correa's car. He was 22 years old.

The Feature Race was suspended following the crash before being cancelled altogether, with the ser🅺ies later confirming that it would not be holding Sunday's planned Sprint Race.

Formula 2 has confirmed it will not race on Sunday at Spa o𝔍ut of respect following the death of Anthoine Hubert𒐪.

BWT Arden driver Hubert was killed f💦ollowing an accident on the second lap oﷺf Saturday's Feature Race that saw his car hit the wall at Raidillon before being struck by Juan Manuel Correa's car. He was 22 years old.

The Feature Race was suspended following the 🤪crash before being cancelled altogether, with the se﷽ries later confirming that it would not be holding Sunday's planned Sprint Race.

"Formula 1, Formula 2, and Formula 3 are deepl෴y saddened by the passing of Anthoine Hubert following a horrific crash at today’s Feature Race at Spa-Francorchamps, involving three other🎀 drivers," a statement reads.

"We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Anthoine’ཧs family, loved ones, and friends. We would also like to send our heartfelt sympathies to the entire Arden team.

"Anthoine has been part of our paddock since 2017. He was a fantastic driver who had a bright future ahead of 🐲him. He became GP3 Series Champion last year, and this season, he won twice in Formula 2, taking victories in Monaco, and at his home race in Le Castellet.

"He was kind to everyone, always smiling, and his positive attitude was infectious. ꦛHe will be dearly missed.

"Out of r♊espect, tomorrow’s race has been cance🦋lled."

Formula 3's race will still go ahead, taking place in F2's time slo✤t.
