Jaguar ꦏRacing duo James Courtney and Andrꦓe Lotterer added to the team's Formula One joy by securing valuable points finishes, including a podium, in the two British Formula Three Championship races at Croft.

Courtney qualified fifth for race one, but made a poor start off the line to drop back to seventh. An incident between Takuma Sato and Derek Hayes on the second lap moved him back up to fourth, where he held a consistent position pursuing Jamie Spence. As the pair passed the line on the fourtee꧟nth lap, the Australian began a successful overtaking move completed over several corners, but then found himself under pressure from the recovering Sato. After much dicing, Courtney successfully defended his line until the close of the race.

Lotterer, new to the circuit, qualified twelfth and made a good start off the line to move up to tenth. The Sato/Hayes incident also saw him move up a couple of places to eighth, and he then set about pursuing Sato. A further incidꦐent involving Hayes on the final lap moved him up to seventh to secure 🧜four points.

Inඣ race two, Courtney qualified eleventh, after being unable to find a clear lap during the thirty-minute session. A poor start saw him hol😼d his position, but then a combination of Anthony Davidson stalling and Andy Priaulx and Milos Pavlovic also having a first corner incident, moved him up to tenth.

Jeffrey Jones going off on the fourth lap moved the reigning British FFord champion to ninth, and he was then able to begin pursuing Matt Davies in earnest. A premature close to the race on lap thirteen after Jamie Spence rolled meant that he had to
content himไself with ninth position and🐓 two points towards his championship campaign.

Lotterer qualified fifteenth for the second race, but made a blinding 🐲start to be up to eighth by the end of the first lap. Jones dropping back﷽ through the order lifted the German to seventh, but the distance between himself and Bruce Jouanny was too significant for a concerted effort to pay off. Lotterer finally had to content himself with seventh and four more points.

Sato continues to lead the championship with 109 points, while Hayes is second with 96. Priaulx moves up to third with 80
points, where he joins both Davie𒀰s and Gianmaria Bruni. Courtney remains the better-placed of the two Jaguar drivers, in sixth, with 73 points. Lotterer is eighth overall, on 54 points. The table remains subject to an appeal lodged by both Sato and Hayes following a late race exclusion from the first event, which elevated Lotterer a couple of places.
