Dragon Formula E announces GEOX title sponsorship, Fuoco in test role

Dragon Racing has announced Italian company GEOX will become its title sponsor🔯 for the new Formula E season, as well as naming Formula 2 racer Antonio Fuoco as its nᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚew test and reserve driver.

After cutting ties with American electric vehicle company Faraday Future at the end of Seaso🧜n 3, Dragon has raced without a title sponsor, but was entered as 'GEOX Dragon' to the pre-season test running last month in Valencia.

Dragon Racing has announced Italian company ౠGEOX will become its title sponsor for the new Formula E season, as well as naming Formula 2 racer Antonio Fuoco as its new test and reserve driver.

After cutting ties with American electric vehicle company Faraday Future at the end of Season 3, Dragon has raced without a title sponsor, but was entered💃 as 'GEOX Dragon' to the pre-season test running last month in Valencia.

Dragon confirmed in an announcement on Wednesday GEOX had formally joined as a new title sponsor ahead of the 2018/19 F𒁃ormula E season, which starts in🧜 Saudi Arabia on December 15.

"We are extremely excited to align ourselves with GEOX. With over 60 technological patents and a clear focus on sustainability, there are powerful synergies between GEO൩X and Dragon," Dragon team boss and owner Jay Penske said.

"We have a unique 🏅opportunity to improve the performance and comfort of o🎶ur team while also raising awareness for GEOX’s ongoing work in sustainable innovation. I look forward to seeing the results of this partnership on and away from the circuit."

Dragon also announced the appointment of Fuoco, who tested with the team in Valencia🌌, only to miss out on the single vacant seat to fellow F2 racer Maxim🍌ilian Günther.

Fuoco has been part of the Ferrari Driver Academy since 2013, spending the last two seasons ꦦracing in F2, where he has taken a single race victory﷽ at Monza in 2017.

"I want to drive in the Formula E Championship because the level of the dꦍrivers and teams are among the highest in all o✱f motorsport. Racing on the streets in the centre of some of the most interesting cities in the world is also a very exciting challenge for me," said Fuoco.

“I think the All-New Season 5 Formওula E format is very intriguing, and the Gen🎃2 Penske EV-3 not only looks cool but is very challenging to drive. I enjoy this challenge; it is a lot of fun.
