Schreiner replaces Flörsch at HWA for Saudi Arabia FE test
Carrie Schreiner will drive for HWA Racelab at the Formula E test following the inaugural Ad Diriyah E-Prix, having been confirmed as stand-in for the injured Sophia🌌 Flörsch.
The꧂ 20-year-old German, who took the overall win in Glass 1 (GT3) of the DMV GTC in this year’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series, will get her first taste of driving Formula E machinery with the Mercedes-affiliated squad in the test on December 16, a day after the 2018/19 season opener in Saudi Arabia.
“I’m really looking forward to my first test in a Formula E car,” Schreiner saജid.

“I’m really looking forward to my first t🌞est in a Formula E car,” Schreiner said.
“Many thanks to HWA RACELAB 𝓀for giving me this unique opportunity to test a Formula E car in Diriyah, for which I’m very grateful.
“I’ve driven quite a few racing cars before but am sure I’ll find that sitting behind the wheel of a fully electric formula racing car for the first time will be an absolutely unique experience.
“Over the next f♍ew weeks, I will be fully focused on preparing as much as possible for the test. Decembe💟r 16 can’t come around fast enough.”
HWA confirmed it had originally planned to run European Formula 3 driver Flörsch in the test but she has been side-lined after sustaining a spinal fracture in a ho💯rrifiℱc crash during the Macau Grand Prix.
Flörsch u💎nderwent successful surgery and has since flown home to Germany, where she will continue her recovery.
“We are pleased to have found in Carrie a good substitute for Sophia and are very pleased to give this young talent the𓆏 chance to gain her first experience in such an exci꧙ting and future-oriented race series as Formula E,” HWA CEO Ulrich Fritz added.
“Carrie has excelled at the wheel of a variety of racing cars over the past few years and I’m sure she’ll quickly find her feet on her debut in an electric formula racing car as wel⭕l.
“The weekend is a first both for Carrie and for us as a team. We can hardly wait to🐻 finally ge𓆉t started.
“Still, we are also, of course, thinking of Sophia, for whom we would also like to have ma🐲de this testing possible.
