‘Extremely competitive’ Calderon impresses Techeetah in Formula E test

DS Techeetah chief Mark Preston was left impresse💙d by Tatiana Calderon’s 👍“extremely competitive” performance during her latest Formula E test with the team in Marrakesh on Sunday.

Calderon sampled a Formula E car for the first time with Techeetah๊ in Saudi Arabia last month before getting a second run-out in the series’ annual rookie test on Sunday.

DS Techeetah chief Mark Preston was left impressed by Tatiana Calderon’s “extremely competitive” performance duriღng her latest Formula E test with the team in Marrakesh on Sunday.

Calderon sampled a Formula E 🍨car for the first time with Techeetah in Saudi Arabia last month before getting a second run-out in the series’ annual rookie test on Sunday.

The Colombian completed 38 laps at the Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan and posted a fastest lap time of 1m17.674, finishing P2 in the morning session and P7 ovꦏerall for the day, six-tenths off the lap re💙cord time.

“Tatiana has had an extremely competitive morning ending up secoꦚnd in the session,” said Techeetah team boss Preston.

“I can’t say anything but how impressed I am with her performance, especially wh🐻en comparing her sector times with the rest of the Formula E grid throughout this race week, not just today during the test.”

“Today was great fun and it was nice to be back with DS Techeetah for another test. It’s a cool track and the car drives very well here, I got coꦆmfortable quickly and set some good lap times to end 🙈second in the morning session,” said Calderon.

“I’m proud to have set the purple in sector two and to have accomplished the testing we set oꦺut to do today. I think the team will have a great season.”

Calderon is yet to formally confirm her racing plans for 2019, but is expected to make the step up to Formula 2 after spending the past three seasons racing iꦫn GP3.
