Mitch Evans commits to Jaguar in ‘multi-year’ Formula E deal

Despite interest from other Formula E teams, the 27-year-old New Z💖ealander will remain with Jaguar, continuing a long-standing partnership that stretches back to when the team joined the all-electric championship in 20෴16.
It follows the news that Jaguar have c🍎ommitted to Formula E’s Gen3 era, an announcement which was made last month.
“I’m not going anywhere!” said Evans. “Having spent over five years with the team༒, I know exactly what we plan to achieve in the forthcoming seasons and I am excited to continue to be a part of the team’s journey.
"I have been approached by other teamꦐs but my home continues to be with Jaguar. We are seeing strong results on track, the Jaguar I-TYPE 5 boasts excellent performance and we are rea😼dy to rival anyone on the grid.
“There is still everything to play for this season and going forward into the future with Jaguar Ra💯cing.”
Frontrunner Evans has won two races and claimed 10 podium finishes for Jaguar and currently sits eighth in the drivers’ championship he♌ading into the final round of the season in Berlin.
Evans, who has scored four podiums for Jaguar so far this season, is just 20 points off current championship leader Nyck de V🌄ries going into the Berlin double-header.
Meanwhile, Jaguar sits th🅠ird in the teams’ standings, nine points behind leaders Envision Virgin Racing.
