Porsche Formula E driver Pascal Wehrlein has secured pole position for the 2022 Mexico City E-Prix.

The Porsche outfit was hooked up to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in Mexico City with both Wehrlein and Andre 𒈔Lotterer progressing to the semi-finals stage in qualifying.

Lottererဣ was defeated by current Formula E championship leader Edoardo Mortara, leaving the German fru🔴strated with his effort, costing Porsche a front-row lockout. 

With Wehrlein and Mortara go🌺ing head-to-head for pole position, the latter waℱs ahead for the first half of the lap.

The lap went away from the Venturi driver in the tricky, low-speed ꦕstadium section as Wehrlein gained ground.

With Mortara struggling for grip, he lost control of his car on the ru🍌n to the ♓finish line, setting a 1m07.373s.

This allowed Wehrlein to secure pole position - the 𒈔third in his Formula E career.

Wehrlein will s💮tart from pole ahead of Mortara and Lotterer.

🎀Jean-Eric Vergne secured fourth on the grid after losing o🏅ut to Wehrlein in the semi-final.

Antonio Felix da Co🐼sta rounded out the top five after losing out to teammate Vergne in the quarter-finals.

Nyck de Vries will start sixth✃ after losing to Lotterer in the duels, while Robin Frijns and Stoffel Vandoorne completed the top eight after being defeated by Mortara and Wehrlein respectively.

Nick Cassi🉐dy makes it two Envision Racing cars in the top 10 in ninth, while Maximilian Günther rounded out the top 10 in Mexi🅰co.
