Valsecchi unhurt in Spa shunt.
Davide Valsecchi has repor🏅tedly emerged without injury from his second massive shunt of the GP2 season, after going off ಌat speed during Saturday's feature race at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Italian only returned from back injuries sustained in Turkey when the series reached Silverstone in July, and there were fears that, at the very least, he may have suffered a repeat after his Durango machine failed to make the right-hander at Stavelot. Unhindered by the gravel trap, Valsecchi briefly got airborne before the nose of his Dallara touched dow🃏n and speared into the tyre wall.

The impact was enough to lift the barrier into the air, and there was, unsurprisingly, little iniᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚtial movement in the cockpit. However, with medical teams quickly on the scene, Valsecchi was carefully extricated from the remains of his car and taken to nearby medical facility, from where early reports suggest that he has escaped without broken bones.
The It🍸alian is expected to remain in hospital for overnight observation.
