"This week has been unbelievable," he said, "just like last year. I am having the time of my life. In the l❀ast fo𒀰ur days I have been swimming with sharks and dolphins, I surfed with the World Champion Surfer, Luke Eagen, I judged the Miss Indy pageant and then today I had one of the most amazing rides of my life in the Roulette. Now it's time to get down to business on my favorite street circuit and I am fully focused on becoming the first two-time winner in this event's 14-year history."

Herdez Competition teammate Mario Dominguez is als🅘o a previous winner on the Gold Coast, having given the team it🐽s first win in the Champ Car World Series in the event back in 2002.

Not only will he be hunting a repeat victory𝐆, he will also be looking to overhaul Alex Tagliani to cl🌼imb into the top five in the championship standings.

Likꦑe Hunter-Reay, he is aiming to become the firs🌜t two-time Surfers winner.

"It's just fantastic to be back here at Surfers Paradise," he said. "I have been looking forward to it all year, and I can't to get back on this track. I have very good memories h🧸ere and I would very much like to repeat them. With my home race in Mexico City being the next stop on our schedule, it is very important for me to get a very good result here. If history has anything to do with it, we are going to be in good shape. I won the race prior to Mexico the last two years and it would be an even bigger honour to do it here as I would be the ꦛfirst two-time winner among a very prestigious list of drivers. I think we have a great shot at it."
