Fresh from a stunning third place finish in the last r𝕴ound of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship at Donington Park, Neil Cunningham is heading for✨ Le Mans after securing a late call-up to the Barazi-Epsilon team.
The experienced racer will partner Michael Vergers and Juan Barazi in the LMP2 clas🍷s Courage C65 after Embassy Racing team boss Jonathan France - who Cunningham has driven for for the past two seasons and is now acting as the Kiwis manager - concluded a deal to allow him to compete in the famous race at La Sar🌄the for the second time.
"I've landed a good drive at Le Mans in an LMP2 car with Michael Vergers," Cunningham told mahbx.com Radio. "It was very much a last minute deal with the team, my manager Jonathan France put it together on Sunday night so Iꦏ'm now on my w꧟ay to France for testing this weekend.
"Jonathan really did surprise me witꦰh thiꦡs deal. Le Mans is something I enjoyed doing the last time that I did it and I've done the Spa 24 Hours a few times as well and this is the kind of racing I enjoy - the long distance stuff.
"It's the first time I'll have driven an open-top sportscar for a few years although I did launch the Radical SR3 in Florida years ago and that was the last time I raced an open-tꦇop sports car. I'm pretty confident, as all racing drivers are, that we can get a good result."
