During his retirement announcement in Valencia la𒊎st November, Lorenzo said the fear of crashing and seriously injuring himself was part of his reason to quit but has since signed up as Yamaha test rider and already has a wild-card outing planned. Marquez feels Lorenzo’s fear was down to the RC213V and not understanding it rather than racing.

Bautista ended his time in MotoGP when he secured a factory Ducati WorldSBK spot last year.
