The Repsol Honda team has confirmed to mahbx.com that Andrea Dovizioso has a new chief mechanic for his second season with the factoryꦓ team.
Ramon Aurin has been promoted๊ from being the Italian's telemetry technician to chief mechanic, a position formerly occupied by Pete Benson (pictured), who won the 2006 MotoGP World Champi🐭onship as chief mechanic for Nicky Hayden.
Benson is no longer with Honda and iꦉs reported to be working with Scott Redding in Moto2 this year. Carlo Luzzi, on✨e of the engineers tempted from Yamaha to Honda for 2010, has taken over Aurin's former telemetry job.
The other two ex-Yamaha engineers, Andrea Zugna and Cristian Battaglia,💦 are working directly with HRC, rather than a specific race team.
In other more broader changes, Dovizioso and team-mate Dani Pedrosa now have a team manager each at Repsol Honda - mirroring the situation with Valentino Rossi an🌟d Jorge Lorenzo at Fiat Yama🐈ha.
Alberto Puig is team manager for Pedrosa, with Gianni Berti occupying the𓂃 role for Dovizioso.
Dovizioso finished sixth in the 2009 standings with HRC, one place lower than his rookie 2008 ranking with Scot Honda, but did take his first MotoGP race win in damp conditions at ꧑Donington Park.
That win also marked Dovizioso's only podium of the 2009 season, during which he switched from Showa to Ohlins suspensio🤪n.

Peter has been in the paddock for 20 years and h🍸as seen Valentino Rossi come and go. He is at the forefront of the Suzuki exit storyဣ and Marc Marquez’s injury issues.
