The current Camel Yamaha superstar made his world championship debut in the 1996 M🃏alaysian 125GP and went on to win his first world title with 11 wins in his second 125cc season.
The Italian then graduated to the 250cc class, still with Aprilia, in 1998 and repeated that patt🍷ern by taking the crown at his second attempt (with nine wins).
