"They were glory daꦇys and Superbike w🐲as going from strength to strength at the time," said the 51-year-old New Zealander.
"There were some scraps, but you need some characters in the field and I hope I added to that a littl🌼e bit! but it was serious stuff back then and we were pꦿioneering our way through the Superbike era, which was really big at the time, and emotions get the best of you at times...
"Now they make rules for that - you can't pull over and pull people to the ground after the race aꦏnd things like that! They were really, really good tওimes. It was amazing for me. The four-cylinder era against the twins. Very emotional times."
Asked for his opi😼nion on MotoGP, Slight (pictured comparing finger injurie🦋s with Lucio Cecchnelli) replied:
"It's a r♐eally great sport to watch, it's the best racing out there. I record the races in New Zealand and don’t let anybody tell me the result until I've watched it the next morning! It's getting closer and closer at the front and that's the main thing. You need close racing."

"It looks good - it'd look even better if Aaron was on it I reckon!" stated C🐷rutchlow.
"𓄧It's always special to ride in the Castrol livery. It's iconic. I remember watching as a kid with Aaron and Colin. Then I had the privilege to be Colin's team-mate a💖nd now I get to ride Castrol bikes."
Crutchlow finishe൲d runner-up in last year's Silverstone MotoGP race for LCR Honda.
"I've come into this weekend before thinking I can be on t🐟h𝕴e podium and I never even made the race. So you never know here. It can throw up a complete lottery and hopefully that lottery will go in my favour this weekend. We'll try and do the best job we can."
