Dovizioso taken to hospital for checks after British MotoGP crash

Andrea Dovizioso has been taken to hospital following his he๊avy collision with Fabio Quartararo on the opening lap of the British MotoGP for “further checks due to𒈔 a severe blow to the head”.

The Ducati rider collided with Quartararo’s Petronas Yamaha bike 🎶after the French rider fell at the first corner of the Silverst💖one race, sending the Italian into a heavy crash and needed to be stretchered off the circuit by track marshals.

Andrea Dovizioso has been taken to hospital following his heavy collision with Fabio Quartararo on the opening lap of the Britꦜish MotoGP for “further checks due to a seve💯re blow to the head”.

The Ducati rider collided with Quartararo’s Petronas Yamaha bike after the French rider fell at the first corner of the Silverstone race, sending the Italian into a heavy crash&nbs൲p;and needed to be stretche✱red off the circuit by track marshals.

Afte🐻r initial checks at the 𒅌track medical centre, Dovizioso has been transferred to Coventry Hospital for head scans after the hit “that caused a momentary loss of memory”, according to Ducati.

The Italian manufacturer also confirmed the 33-yeꦿar-old has not sustained any broke🍃n bones.

It marks the second time Dovizioso has been taken out of a race by another rider this season following a crash triggered by Jorge Lor🏅enzo at the Catalan MotoGP.

Dovizioso now trails Marquez by 78 points in the riders’ world championship standings with seven rounds to go, with Alex Rins closing up to 23 points behind the Italian rꦯider in third place thanks to his victory at Silverstone.

Quartararo was also taken to hospital for scans after complaining 🔜of dizziness after the crash and was later allowed to return home to recover.
