The opening MotoGP Grand Prix of 2021 was a story weಞ’re well accustomed toꦅ from last year, as Alex Rins and team-mate Joan Mir recovered from third and fourth row starts to challenge the front runners.

Rins was able to recover from a start he called a ‘disaster’ to finish sixth,ꦫ but at one stage it looked like a podium finish was possible before losing rear grip in the final laps.

Qualifying remains the issue for💃 Suzuki, but the race pace at stages was similar to that of race winner Maverick Vinales.

"We need to improve small t💃hings that I did during𒅌 the race and the target is quite clear," said Rins.

"We have good pace and the machine to go on the front, so let’s improve the start, b💃ecause my start also from last weekend was a disaster.

"So let’s improve this and try to fight for the top positions at least from the begin🐼ning.

"Let’s also see what strategy Ducati will ma🐷ke because now Pecco already led one race and he knew I think the way to do it now, so let’s see."

One of the big str🌺engths throughout Suzuki’s title winning season for both riders, was the improvements made at the same circuit during the second race weekend.

Rins is looking forward to the prospec🥀t of a second race at Losail, saying: "It is not a disadvantage. When we arrived at the track we had a very good base to ride fast from the beg♈inning, but still we need to work.

"The second races for us we💫re quite good last year, so let’s push for this double race. In my case I studied quite well the points where I am able to improve."
