MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi comes into the penultimate race of his career aiming to produce a similar result as Misano.&nb༺sp;

Although Rossi was significantly aided by several riders crashing ♛out whilst ahead of the 42 year-old, the Italian rider🌟 nonetheless came through to claim a first top ten in four races -  doing so in his final home race.

However, this weekend could prove to be a much different challenge for the nine-💟time world champion, as previous sh🎃owings at Portimao suggest he and Yamaha could face a tough weekend.

Since making it’s debut on the ca💜🐷lendar towards the end of last season, Rossi has failed to finish either of its two races inside the top ten. A 12th last November was then followed up by a crash in this year’s opening Portimao race.

But while Portimao might not favor the Italian or his M1 as much as other tracks, Rossi is eager to ‘repeat’💃 his ‘great Misano result’.

"Portimao is a difficult track an😼d has♕ some very particular characteristics, which other circuits do not have," said Rossi.

"The first of our two races there this year wasn’t too bad for us, as I was able to make my way through to be in the𝔉 top-ten. Unfortunately I crashed out though.

"The target this week🐲end is to try to ജhave a good race and to make our way towards the front.

"I had a good feeling there before, especially on Sund🔯ay, so I hope that ♊we can be competitive and repeat a great result like we did last time in Misano."
