Moto3: Carrasco: 'I want to be world champion', targets 'two or three years'

Ana Carrasco will make her return to Mot𒅌o3 racing for the first time since 2015 at this weekend’s opening round of the 2022 season in Qatar.
The 2📖018 WorldSSP300 champion joined BOE SKX racing last month after deciding no🎶t to make the step up to WorldSSP.
Fears that Kawasaki could be uncompetitive due to a raft of rule changes that have led to more powerful bikes such as Ducati’s 955cc, Triumph’s 765 Street Triple and MV Agusta’s 80⭕0cc machine all being homologated for the middleweight class, were cited as a reason why she chose Moto3.
Regarding her return to Moto3, Carrasco has made it clear that bein🌼g world champion again is her only aim.
Speaking exclusively to Marca.com, Carrasco added: "My goal is to be world champion again. It is clear th♊at winning a World title depends on many things.
"It's complicated, you have to put together a lot of things.𒅌 But I do believe that, in the medium term, I can become competitive enough to be able to fight for the title.
"I will either win or I will not win, but in two or thr🌃ee years I may be able to fight for the title.꧋"
While Carrasco has made her ‘medium term’ goals clear, 💯the bigger picture includes a switch to Moto2 and then MotoGP, all of which will be heavily based on how her return to Moto3 pans out.
Despite her huge amount of experience Carrasco is still just 24 years of age, meani🙈ng she has four years of Moto3 eligibility, not that it’s a time period she’s aiming to useꩲ.
Carrasco coꦇntinued: "In the long term the way is to get as high as you canꦰ. That's clear. All these changes can happen, but as always, you must have good results in Moto3. The goal always has to be that.
"If I manage to do well either this year, next year or the year after, I wil♋l su▨rely have a chance to go up.
"Like all riders, I think we all want to get to MotoGP and be able to compete there. That happens for being very com💦petitive in all the categories before and that💯's what's difficult.
"We have to go step by step, working w💫ell, trying to be better every year and if one day I have the opportunity to go up, I will try to take advantage of it."
