But it was bad news for two other local stars with team-mate Dovizioso and Yamaha's Rossi failing to make the top ten and heading for Qualifyi🌞ng 1.

Rossi, riding with a new helmet design, ran wide at the final turn o🌃n his best lap, ending his chances.

Dovizioso made no obvious mistake and was certainly quick enough on the straight, breaking hi🎀s own all-time top speed record from Mugello last year by clocking 356.7km/h 221.6mph.

KTM's Espargaro was an �🐼�excellent second, with the aid of a tow.

Rins fell on his out lap and is another championship frontrunner heading for Q1. Zarco and Syahrin joined 𒁏Rins in failing to beat their Friday best.
