2022 Mandalika MotoGP Test Results, Indonesia - Saturday, Day 2 (4pm)
The second day of the inaugural MotoGP test at Indonesia's new Mandalika circuit is 𒁏underway.
After a muddy start on Friday, and some controversial 'compulsory' track cleaning, lap tim𝓡es had tumbled to a day one best of 1m 3🔯2.466s by Pol Espargaro.
But that time was beaten within the opening hour of Saturday's action by Alex Rins, wi🔯th Yamaha's world champion Fabio Quartararo and KTM's Brad Binder then edging ahead of the Suzuki rider as the top five broke into the 1m 31s by 11am.
The leading positions have remained unchanged ✤ever since, with dark clouds ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚgathering overhead.
At the other end of the timesheets, Brad's brother Darryn is also having a promising day, rising above fellow roo﷽kie Fabio di Giannantonio with an hour of tesꦑting to go.
If the rain stays away, might we see a Sepang-style time attack before 5pm?
The three-day outing, which follows hot on the heels of a two-day Sepang test, marks the final chance for official MotoGP track time before nex♕t month's Qatar season-opener.
The Mandalika r🦂ace, Indonesia's first grand prix ⛄since 1997, is then schedule for March 18-20.
