Question mark remains over Fernando Alonso’s WEC future
Fernando Alonso remains unsure over his future with Toyota in the FIA World Endurance Champ𝓀ionship, saying there is a “question mark” beyond the end of the current season.
Alonso jointly leads the WEC drivers’ championship with co-drivers Kazuki Na꧂kaj🃏ima and Sebastien Buemi heading into the final two rounds of the 2018-19 season, which ends with the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

Should Alonso extend his WEC foray with Toyota into a second season, he would need to commit to a deal running to June 2020, leaving him unsure of where hi🍎s priorities will lie.
“I will ha🌳ve to think. There is definitely time to think now in the co🧜ming months,” Alonso said.
“Right no🃏w, I don’t want to get too deep on that thinking, because the Indy 500 is going to take all my focus. For the future, it will depend on what I do after the summer, what are the projects that are coming, where I will switch my focus.
“The WEC, after winnin꧂g Le Mans and Daytona at the beginning of the year, and Sebring a couple of weeks ago, it’s a question mark if I commit to that.
“Also because it end𓃲s in ജ2020 July and it’s quite a future commitment. I have to think and be sure of that.”
The 2019-20 WEC campaign will begin with the 4𒁏 Hours of Silve𓆉rstone on September 1, with Le Mans set to once again sta🌊ge the season finale on June 14, 2020🐭.
