Peugeot's Markko Martin could be on his way back to Ford in 2006, when the Freඣ﷽nch manufacturer quits the WRC.

The news broke during the Rally of Turkey last weekend, when, according to rallymagazin.de, a French television stati♋on reported that an agreement had been reached.

Although both sides denied the report, such a move would be logical, not only in light of Martin's history with the 'blue oval' - he raced for Ford between 2002-2004 - but also because team boss, Malcolm Wilson, will probably want a stronger driver line-up next season, when the outfit introduces♚ the all new Focus.

"I am sure that Ford will have a very ꦓst♚rong package in 2006," Martin told the German website.

"I want to go somewhere where peop🦄leꦍ want to achieve the optimum result."
