IRC: Wittmann cans Monte run

Franz Wittmann has c🌟onfirmed today that he has had to abort plans to compete on the Rallye Monte Carlo.
The 27-year-old had been hoping to return to the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in 2011 and was due to compete in January in the opening event of the season in a Peugeot 207 ꧋Super 2000. However yesterday he learned that Interwetten, his main sponsor, was pulling the plug on its involvement.
"We had a meeting with the people at Interwetten to sort things out. Unfortunately though, I was told that they plan to set different marketing activities next year for b﷽usiness policy reasons," Wittmann said.
"I am nevertheless extremely grateful to Interwetten, and especially Wolfgang Fabian, for theꦍ support over the last two years. This co-operation enabled me to perform in rallying at the highest level and thereby introduce myself internationally.
"[However] this cancellation [now] creates a budget hole that is too large to be filled 🃏without a main sponsor. From this moment on I will nꦚaturally try to find some partners who can help me to successfully continue my rally career in some form," he added.
